SENATOR RAND PAUL ENDORSES MATT ROSENDALE FOR U.S. SENATE
ROSENDALE HIGHLIGHTS STRONG TIES TO LIBERTARIAN REPUBLICANS IN SENATE BID

HELENA, Mont. - Kentucky Senator and former Presidential candidate Rand Paul has officially endorsed Glendive Rancher Matt Rosendale for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate.

“I am deeply honored to have Senator Paul’s support for my campaign. I will stand with Rand as an unwavering advocate for civil liberties and limited Federal government,” Said Rosendale. “We need more Senators like Rand Paul, who mean business and have the backbone to stand up to the D.C. status quo.

Senator Paul highlighted Rosendale’s strong record supporting the Constitution in his endorsement message.

Matt Rosendale is the type of fearless defender of liberty I want fighting by my side in the Senate,” Said Senator Paul. “Matt has proven himself a bold defender of our Constitutional rights and he will make an excellent addition to the Senate.

Senator Paul’s endorsement marks a big boost to Rosendale’s campaign, with Rosendale urging Republicans and Libertarians to find common ground in the 2018 election.

Supporters of liberty of all types must band together to defeat Jon Tester, who has embraced the worst that Washington D.C. has to offer,” Said Rosendale. “It’s time to elect a serious defender of our freedoms to the Senate who means business.

Rosendale was highlighted last year in Real Clear Politics as part of a wave of Libertarian-leaning Republicans running to join Rand Paul and others in federal office that will carry on “the next generation of liberty movement.”

Rosendale has consistently been an ally for Libertarians and Libertarian-leaning Republicans during his time as a state legislator, introducing bipartisan legislation to protect Montanan’s privacy rights and due process, and fighting against indefinite detention of American citizens.

Rosendale is the only Republican Primary Candidate to have current members of the U.S. Senate endorse his campaign, in addition to over 30 Montana officials.
