HELENA, Mont. - Today, Glendive rancher Matt Rosendale received the endorsement of Gun Owners of America, one of the top gun rights advocacy groups in the country. 

“Jon Tester’s support of Supreme Court Justices Kagan and Sotomayor, who are openly hostile to the 2nd Amendment and our Constitution, is a direct threat to our Montana way of life,” Said Rosendale. “I will always support the 2nd Amendment and I am honored to have been endorsed by Gun Owners of America.”

Along with the endorsement by GOA, Rosendale recently released a hard-hitting campaign video that labeled him as a “Life-long champion of the 2nd Amendment” and goes on to say that he will “defend our right to hunt and defend our way of life.”
Gun Owners of America’s endorsement locks in Rosendale as the top candidate to defend the rights of Montana hunters and 2nd amendment supporters in the race for Senate in 2018.

In an email, GOA’s Chairman Tim Macy touted the endorsement and stressed the importance of Montana’s Senate election.

“Not only will Matt Rosendale be a massive improvement over gun-grabbing Democrat U.S. Senator Jon Tester, Matt Rosendale is a pro-gun champion among Republicans,” said Macy. “As The Last Best Place, Montana should be the First Place GOA looks to for pro-gun leaders. Matt Rosendale has been that leader in Montana, and he will be that leader in the U.S. Senate.”

In addition to this endorsement, Rosendale has secured multiple high-profile endorsements recently including backing from Senator Ted Cruz, Senator Mike Lee and over 30 local state legislators who have endorsed his campaign.
