RELEASE: Battle of the Flat-Tops Begins ... Rosendale Secures GOP Nomination in Montana

HELENA, Mont. – Glendive Rancher Matt Rosendale released the following statement tonight after winning the Republican nomination in Montana’s U.S. Senate race:

“The Battle of the Flat-Tops has finally begun and I have no doubt the people of Montana are going to send Jon Tester packing because he has become just another politician who makes empty promises, obstructs President Trump’s agenda, and doesn’t uphold our Montana values. But, that’s not the case with me. I mean business and I serve exactly as I campaign – the proof is in my record. I’ve actually cut spending and regulations, defended our property and gun rights, and protected the sanctity of life. I’ll do exactly this as your next U.S. Senator.”

“I’m not running to bring home the bacon – I’m running to slaughter the hog of big government. I’m in this race to get the government off our backs and to protect our Montana way of life. I’ll fight for more freedom, prosperity, and liberty for all Montanans.”

More Montanans cast their votes for Republicans than the Democrats in the Primary Election, showing strong Republican turnout and enthusiasm heading into the General Election race against Jon Tester.
