HELENA, Mont. - A recent statewide poll of likely Montana Republican Primary voters shows Matt Rosendale with a double digit lead over opponents on the ballot, further solidifying his status as the top Republican choice to take on Jon Tester.

"Voters from all across Montana sent me to Helena to reduce spending, reduce regulations and defend our freedoms - and I did. Montanans support me because they don't have to wonder where I stand. I mean business and serve exactly how I campaign," said Rosendale.

The poll showed Rosendale with massive leads in two key areas of the race: Name Identification and Ballot Preference. Rosendale holds a 16 point ballot advantage over his nearest primary competitor, and leads the rest of the field in Name ID with voters by 25 points.

Rosendale was also the strongly preferred choice of voters who identify as Very Conservative, Some-What Conservative and Moderate, showing that Matt Rosendale is the only candidate who can unify the GOP and defeat Jon Tester.

These results reflect the trust Rosendale has earned across the state in a Republican Primary where most likely voters have already supported Rosendale in past elections.

"Montanans know and trust Matt Rosendale. Most Republican Primary voters have already supported Matt in statewide primary and general elections. With Matt's broad base of grassroots support from primary voters, and endorsements from over 30 state elected officials, Matt Rosendale is better positioned than any of his primary opponents to defeat Jon Tester in the fall," said Kendall Cotton, Rosendale's Campaign Manager.

The randomized study was fielded among n=401 likely Republican primary voters in Montana from January 5-6, 2018.

Rosendale has been endorsed by over 30 Montana elected officials, including former Congressman Ron Marlenee and House Speaker Austin Knudsen. Senator Ted Cruz, Senator Rand Paul, Senator Mike Lee, former United Nations Ambassador John Bolton, and a number of prominent conservative organizations are supporting Rosendale. Rosendale leads all other primary candidates in money raised from donors.
