HELENA, MT – In reaction to the passage of the Great American Outdoors Act through the U.S. Senate, Republican candidate for Montana’s lone Congressional seat Matt Rosendale issued the following statement:

“Congratulations to Senator Daines on the passage of the Great American Outdoors Act through the United States Senate. He has worked tirelessly on this legislation to protect our public lands and single-handedly secured the support of President Trump. He has done what many others could not in terms of increasing public access. Our public lands are an important part of our Montana heritage and the LWCF plays a critical role in supporting our outdoor economy and protecting public lands for future generations. As a member of the State Land Board I have worked to expand access to over 45,000 acres of public land for hunting, fishing, and other recreational activities for Montanans. If elected, I will continue to fight to increase access to our public lands.”
